On March 14th, the 63rd Grammys took place! With performances from Cardi B, BTS, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Post Malone, Doja Cat and more, and hosts including Jhene Aiko, Lizzo and Ringo Starr, it was as star-studded as we had all hoped. Held in Los Angeles, the Grammys 2021 recognized the best recordings, compositions and artists from September 1, 2019, to August 31, 2020. Let’s jump into what was new at the Grammys 2021, and who the winners were!

Grammys 2021: What’s New?
The 63rd Grammys highlighted works from so many talented musicians, and even helped artists break some records. With her 9th Grammy win, Beyoncé officially took the crown as the most wins for a performer/singer in Grammys history. Taylor Swift also celebrated her third win for ‘Album Of The Year’, and is the first woman in history to do so.
There were also some category changes for the 2021 ceremony. Here are just a few of them:
- The category ‘Best Urban Contemporary Album’ was renamed ‘Best Progressive R&B Album’.
- ‘Best Rap/Sung Performance’ was renamed ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’.
- The maximum number of releases has now been removed from the ‘Best New Artist’ category.
